Oakley PRIZM™ Trail Torch Overview
Following the success of PRIZM™ Trail, Oakley engineers created PRIZM™ Trail Torch. This PRIZM™ Sport lens features a Torch Iridium® coating to kick aesthetics up a notch. Iridium® is Oakley’s term for mirror, so this lens stands out and reflects more light than the standard Trail lens. The VLT is 35% so it is only slightly darker than PRIZM™ Trail. Although this lens is functionally very similar to the original, the Torch Iridium® finish adds some flare and helps fight glare. PRIZM™ Trail Torch also has a PRIZM™ Rose base, making details on the trail easier to see.

- Aesthetics- The main difference between these lenses is aesthetics. PRIZM™ Trail Torch has a Torch Iridium® mirror finish, which gives the lens a red, orange, and copper appearance. PRIZM™ Trail has more purple and pink hues mixed with red, and doesn’t pop as much as the Iridium® lens.
- VLT (Visible Light Transmission)- PRIZM™ Trail Torch is just a bit darker than PRIZM™ Trail. The VLT is measured at 35% and Trail is 36%. This difference is hardly noticeable. The main difference comes from the stronger Iridium® lens on Trail Torch, which reflects more glare.
