Oakley Jawbreaker Review & Unboxing

Oakley Jawbreaker prescription sunglasses

The Oakley Jawbreaker is finally here, y’all! We’ve been watching Mark Cavendish rock these sunglasses for a while now, and now they are FINALLY available to the public! The Oakley Jawbreaker is the newest pair of cycling sunglasses released by Oakley and we are here to give you our full Oakley Jawbreaker review & unboxing to show you what’s so special about these Oakley cycling sunglasses:

Fresh out the box you will find Oakley’s durable hard case accompanied by a soft bag. The soft bag doubles as a cleaning cloth and contains a spare shield pocket. The Oakley Jawbreaker comes default with one lens, but extra lenses are available for purchase to adapt to more light conditions. Also included in the box is an additional Asian Fit nose piece, which allows the glasses to sit higher up on the face so they don’t rest on the cheeks on faces that have less-protruding nose bridges. (Here’s a video on how to change the nose pieces on the Oakley Jawbreaker. You’re welcome.)

Oakley Jawbreaker sunglasses have a full-rimmed frame with Oakley’s shield lens – so rather than two separate lenses, these glasses have a single-shield design. The Jawbreaker lens is engineered with Oakley’s exclusive XYZ technology, so there’s no distortion, just super sharp, optically-correct vision.

The concept of the Jawbreaker is the extended upper-peripheral lens that provides you with an unobstructed view while you’re in the cycling position. Yes, it has a full-rim frame; however it is designed to stay out of your way, even while you’re in an aggressive geometry on your bike. Although the Oakley Jawbreaker is optimized for cycling, these sunglasses are versatile for a range of sports.

Oakley Jawbreaker sunglasses uniquely include adjustable temples that allow you to customize the fit based on your helmet retention system and personal preference. The Jawkbreaker also features Oakley’s Switchlock Technology for seamless lens interchangeability. (Here's a quick tutorial on how to change the lenses on the Oakley Jawbreaker.)

The Jawkbreaker is constructed out of Oakley’s very own O Matter for an amazingly durable and lightweight frame. Unobtanium nose pieces and temples increase grip with perspiration, so no matter how hard you work or how sweaty you get, your glasses keep from sliding down your face.
