Similarities
Both lenses offer amazingly high contrast. In the HCL Bronze lens, it's all in the name—HCL stands for High Contrast Lens. This lens gives you a rich brown hue when you look through it, and provides more contrast than the Neutral Grey lens. On the other hand, the Maui Rose lens is for those who want even more contrast and color boosting than in the HCL Bronze lens.
The Maui Rose is also Rob's personal favorite out of the Maui Jim tints. He recommends it to friends, family, and customers alike because, to use the idiom, he loves looking through rose-colored glasses. But aside from being an optimist, the Maui Rose lenses feel good to wear. They're still dark enough to wear in sunlight, but Rob likes them best for hiking as well as driving on overcast days.

Differences
This isn't just a review of the Maui Rose lens; there are some differences between the two. The HCL Bronze lens still gives you high contrast, but it's a little darker and more protective. If your eyes are sensitive to sunlight, this is a better lens for you.
The Maui Rose lens might also be a bit harder to get used to at first. When you put these lenses on, the brightness of the colors might surprise your eyes, but then they adjust and it becomes a very pleasant lens to look through. Overall, these are a better choice for sports.
Aesthetically speaking, both lenses are pretty similar because of the bi-gradient mirror Maui Jim applies to sunglasses. On HCL Bronze lenses, this mirror has a gold hue, whereas it's more silver on Maui Rose lenses.
