100% Snow Goggles & HiPER® Lenses
The new 100% Snow Goggle collection includes four goggle models and 13 lens colors, all equipped with their color-enhancing tint tech, HiPER®. The Visible Light Transmission (VLT), or the amount of light that makes it through the lens, ranges from 8% for those blue-bird days to a penetrating 48% for snowy and overcast days. This ski goggle lens color guide makes it easy for you to decide on a color by breaking them down into 3 categories: bright, everyday, and snowy/cloudy conditions.

But what if you need prescription goggles?! SportRx has you covered with our prescription inserts, which hold your prescription lenses and mount inside the venting channel of your favorite goggle.
What is HiPER® Lens Technology?
No one gets more excited about new snow goggles than I do, and that doesn't come anywhere close to how excited I get about new lens tech! While the HiPER® lens tech isn't entirely new, there are some exciting new color options and I’m eager to see their performance in the snow.
HiPER® lens tech filters out certain color wavelengths, which makes it easier to discern between them and creates more contrast. This gives you sharper colors and greater detail in the terrain. Why does that matter? You'll be able to more easily spot terrain changes and increase reaction time, which will mean you’ll ride better and have a better day enjoying the snow.
100% goggle lenses have a special coating application process for their mirrored lenses known as the Multi-Layer (ML) process, which applies the mirror in multiple layers in several colors. This produces a rich mirror that can show various reflective colors when seen from different angles.
Best Lens Colors for Bright Conditions
Starting off our 100% snow goggle lens guide are lens colors for bright conditions — true blue-bird days. All of the lens in this category are for the 100% Norg, which is our favorite in their snow goggle collection. Each lens option below boasts the same VLT, but you get a different visual experience depending on your color choice. The gray-blue base tints provide neutral contrast enhancement, while the copper and vermillion/rose base tints boost contrast much more. Those last two are also the colors I'm most excited about.
Gray-Blue with Silver Mirror
A gray-blue base tint provides neutral color perception. However, thanks to the color enhancement, it will still be easy to read the trail and scope your line. With a VLT of 8%, it's amazing for bluebird days.
Gray-Blue with Green Mirror
This lens gets all the same treatment as above, but with a green mirror. This is truly only a cosmetic difference and will come down to whether you favor green or silver. It has the same base color and VLT at 8%, so it's great for the brightest of days.
Copper with Violet Mirror
A copper base tint is a more traditional base tint for a big contrast boost. It is a nice, dark lens that makes colors pop, so you can easily read variations in terrain. Also at a VLT of 8%, this is a great backup lens that I would keep in my kit.
Vermillion-Rose with Red Mirror
This is my personal pick for bright conditions! A vermillion/rose tint is not a common base tint color in snow goggles, but it's popular in the rest of the sports eyewear world and it's amazing. The combination of vermillion and rose tints gives a unique contrast-enhancing effect. Even though this has a VLT of 8%, the big, vibrant color boost means this lens works well even under tree cover.
Best Lens Colors for Everyday Conditions
Next up in our 100% snow goggle lens guide are lens colors for everyday conditions, which are also usually the most popular picks for riders and my go-to recommendations. If you're looking for lenses that'll get you through most typical conditions, look no further! Focus on these options if you don’t want spare lenses.
Lavender Mirror
This is a good neutral color perception lens. With a smoke base tint and a VLT of 12%, this lens is great for sunny to cloudy conditions.
White Mirror
This lens has a smoke base, which makes it another great option for less vibrant color perception. The White mirror looks dope and is a great option if you're looking for a mirror color you won't see many others wearing on the mountain. This lens also boasts a VLT of 12%.
Vermillion-Rose with Blue Mirror
Now, for the lens that I'm most excited about! This one also sports a VLT of 12%, but because this base tint makes colors more vibrant, it feels like you're getting more light in low-light conditions. This is the go-to if you're looking for serious color and contrast enhancement. It's my jam!
Best Lens Colors for Snowy/Cloudy Conditions
The last category in our 100% snow goggle lens guide is lens colors for snowy and cloudy conditions. If you're looking for a lens that's ideal for cloudy to snowy weather, or even whiteout conditions, check these out!
Cloudy or Snowy Conditions:
Gray-Green (Non-Mirror)
The gray-green base tint leans more toward neutral color perception with some mild color boost. Without a mirror coating, more light comes through because less is reflected without the mirror. With a VLT of 38%, this is a great option for snow days.
Copper Mirror
This is another great option for snowy/cloudy conditions. The deep red base tint acts similarly to a rose base, which is a pretty typical base tint in other lens techs (PRIZM™, anyone?). It is a great option for snow/cloudy conditions, thanks to the tint. With a VLT of 38%, you can't go wrong!
True Gold Mirror
I'd recommend this lens if you're a fan of gold and need a good snowy/cloudy condition option. With a smoke base tint, again, it's more neutral. With a VLT of 38%, it’s great for the conditions and it doesn’t hurt that it looks pretty dope!
Whiteout Conditions:
Silver Flash Mirror
I'd recommend this lens if you're looking for a stormy lens that doesn't have any frills. The Silver Mirror comes off as a reflective lens with what seems like no color. Silver is the color we expect from mirrors, so this is about as cosmetically neutral as it gets. It has a smoke base tint and boasts a VLT of 48%.
Blue Mirror
If you're looking for the same performance as the above lens but want a little more character, this is a great choice. This lens functions the same as above with a smoke base tint and a VLT of 48%, but it has a blue hue off the front of the lens.
Pink with Turquoise Mirror
This is my go-to pick for whiteout conditions. With a pink base color, it helps you see the world with a rosier disposition even when the weather is bleak. Even though this lens also has a VLT of 48%, because of that base tint, it’s ideal for the lowest light conditions you'll face.
