Returns & Exchanges

Our See Better Guarantee gives you 45 days to return your eyewear for any reason. If you return your order for a refund, your Extend Protection plan will be refunded as well.

If you need to have your eyewear replaced under warranty, reach out to one of Sports Opticians to begin the warranty process. They'll begin a return authorization, set up your replacement order, and send you a return label* so you can ship your original eyewear back to us. Once we receive your original order, we'll process your warranty replacement, and if needed, begin production on your replacement lenses.

*For Domestic orders only. Sorry, international friends - we're unable to provide return labels to international addresses.

Frames and prescription lenses are covered under independent warranties.

A manufacturer's warranty covers your frame for one year. This warranty covers defects and breakages that shouldn't occur under normal use. It won't cover accidental damage due to negligence, so try to avoid dropping, sitting on, or letting your dog get ahold of your new glasses!

SportRx-brand prescription lenses with one of our anti-reflective coatings or a scratch coating are eligible for a one-time lens replacement. Our ScratchDefense™ and GlareDefense™ coatings have a one-year warranty, while our GlareDefense™ Pro and BlueDefense™ coatings have a two-year warranty.

Brand-specific warranties cover all other direct and authentic brand lenses. These warranties cover surface scratches and defective peeling attribute to normal wear-and-tear, so remember: on your face or in the case!

Frames & Lenses

The type of lenses you select depends on your prescription needs, intended use, and personal preferences. Since there is so much variability, we recommend talking to one of our opticians who can give you personalized advice. We also invite you to explore the Lens Guides on our blog, which cover lens recommendations by brand, sport, environment, and more.

Take the guesswork out of selecting the right frame size with our SportRx Sunglasses Size Guide. We'll teach you about SportRx Frame Width (SFW), which is a reliable way of measuring and understanding your frame size. It also makes it super easy to shop since we include the SFW on every frame's product page!

Once you’ve added your glasses or goggles to your cart, you’ll see an option to add an Accident Protection plan for each item that is eligible for coverage. From there, you can select either one year or two years of coverage.

Insurance & FSA / HSA

SportRx is considered an “out-of-network” provider for most vision insurances. Depending on your vision insurance plan, you may be eligible for reimbursement for your SportRx purchase by providing an itemized receipt to your vision insurance company. Visit our insurance page for more details, including contact information and reimbursement claim forms for many of the common vision insurance plans.

You will need to place your order by 11:59PM Pacific time on the last day that you are allowed to use your funds. If you’re using a credit card that has been issued by your FSA, it’s best to speak to one of our opticians to place your order over the phone to ensure that your card is charged before the deadline.

Yes! Prescription sunglasses and eyeglasses is considered eligible expenses for FSA and HSA spending. Many plans also cover readers. At SportRx, we accept FSA/HSA cards that have the Visa or Mastercard logo. We are also happy to provide you with an itemized invoice for reimbursement. If your FSA/HSA provider requests additional information on your itemized invoice, please contact us and we can help!

For the most accurate information on eligible expenses under your FSA/HSA plan, we recommend contacting your benefits administrator.

Accident Protection

Accident Protection is additional coverage that you have the option of purchasing at the time of your new glasses or goggles purchase. We’ve partnered with Extend Protection Plans to offer Accident Protection on our full range of SportRx products.

When you purchase an Accident Protection plan for your eyewear, rest easy that your eyewear is covered for just about anything. If you need to file a claim for your covered glasses, you’ll contact Extend directly through their virtual claims system. In less than 24 hours, you’ll be sent a return label for your damaged glasses. You’ll also be sent an electronic gift card in the amount of the full purchase price of your original eyewear. You can use this gift card immediately on SportRx.com for a replacement!

Accident Protection plans cover your glasses or goggles from life’s everyday happenings, and then some. Whether they’re crushed in your luggage or take a tumble down the mountain – you’re covered! As long as your glasses or goggles can be returned – in one piece or in many pieces – you’ll be covered by an Accident Protection plan. Coverage extends to everything except loss, so unfortunately those glasses at the bottom of the lake won’t be covered.

Prescription

Before we can start production on your prescription eyewear, we'll need a current prescription on file. If you have an upcoming eye exam, you can still proceed with an order and send us your new prescription later. We’ll even send you a reminder!

Yes. At SportRx, your prescription sunglasses and glasses are tailor-made to your vision needs. To make your eyewear to perfection, we'll need a copy of your current prescription.

If you've shopped with us before, you can locate saved prescriptions in your account. Or contact us and we'll be happy to find your Rx and check its validity.

Pupillary distance (PD) is the distance between the centers of each eye. Your pupillary distance is an important piece of information when buying prescription glasses. If this measurement is not on current your prescription, just call the last place that performed your eye exam or let us measure it for you!

When you order your frames, we'll contact you with simple instructions so we can measure your PD without you having to come into the store. It'll be that easy.

Goggles

Once you’ve added your glasses or goggles to your cart, you’ll see an option to add an Accident Protection plan for each item that is eligible for coverage. From there, you can select either one year or two years of coverage.

Our innovative team of opticians developed our own proprietary line of custom prescription goggle inserts to fit virtually any snow goggle or MX goggle on the market. Our SportRx prescription goggle inserts are made out of impact-resistant polycarbonate, and they hold your prescription lenses securely inside your favorite snow goggle or MX goggle. They are custom-fitted to every goggle to ensure the perfect fit, comfort, and safety. Visit our blog for a video demo and more information about prescription goggles!

OTG means “over-the-glasses” and it’s a term used to describe goggles that are meant to fit over your eyeglasses. It’s a design that was developed before prescription goggle inserts were a thing. In our opinion, though, prescription goggle inserts are hands-down a better solution than OTG goggles. Check out our blog on prescription goggles for the full scoop!
