Maui Rose
Maui Rose lens is a very popular lens and one of Sunglass Rob’s favorites. When you're looking through this lens they'll give you a little bit more pop and contrast that wakes up the world around you. Through the rose tint they work well under any light condition; cloudy or sunny and bright. If you're not used to that rose tint view your eyes will adjust and it'll start to feel less intense after just a few seconds of wear.

Hawaii Lava
Hawaii Lava lens is based on the HCL Bronze lens. Basically, Maui Jim takes the HCL Bronze lens and adds this red gradient mirror on top. Aesthetically these two lenses are very different because of that intense red coloring. Optically, they're also different because the red mirror mixes with the bronze to give you more of a green hue, the mirror fading tones out the green and allows for more of that bronze coloring to shine through. Hawaii Lava also has some contrast to it, more so than the Rose lens.

Maui Rose vs. Hawaii Lava Lens
The main difference between these two lenses is the aesthetics. If you want something bright and fun, Hawaii Lava is the lens for that. If you're looking for something more conservative, in comparison, the Rose is the go-to for that.
