Sunglass Rob goes over the similarities and differences between the Red Sands and Pokowai Arch—there's a bit more to it than just the names.

Similarities

Both Red Sands and Pokowai Arch are amazing sunglasses, so you can't go wrong with either. Rob personally owns and loves the Red Sands, but they're similar in terms of design. You can do a lot of light sports in either frame—Rob says he wouldn't go downhill mountain biking in his Red Sands but you can easily slip them on for a jog, a casual bike ride, or golfing. They're both still plenty stylish for everyday use too.

Both frames are also super comfortable thanks to their rubber nose pads and temples and made of a frame material Rob has dubbed "nano-nylon." It's a material that is durable, comfortable, and unbelievably lightweight. And paired with the sturdy traditional pin hinges, the comfort levels are truly off the charts.

There's one last similarity between Red Sands and Pokowai Arch—you can get both of them in prescription with authentic Maui Jim PolarizedPlus2® lenses from SportRx!

Differences

There's two differences between Red Sands and Pokowai Arch. The first is the SportRx Frame Width, or SFW. The Red Sands has an SFW measurement of 138, which fits perfectly on Rob's big head since he wears SFWs of 138 and up. With an SFW of 137, the Pokowai Arch is just a bit more narrow. Rob can still wear them just fine, however.

The biggest difference between the two is the lens height. Pokowai Arch has a lens height of 41mm while Red Sands has lenses 45mm tall. So in addition to the slightly smaller fit, the Pokowai Arch has a smaller lens.

They're both comfortable enough to be worn all day long, but which frame you get ultimately comes down to your personal preference. While Red Sands is bigger, Rob knows some people like a sleeker, smaller look on their face. On the other hand, people with smaller faces who prefer an oversized style can still pull off Red Sands. Think about which style you'd like better to decide!
