The first thing that really jumps out to us about these sunglasses is the square lens shape. This is a super classic style that looks great on anyone, both men and women. With that being said, these have a SportRx Frame Width of 132, which is about a men's medium and a women's large. They're too narrow on Rob's big head, but if you're more of a medium fit these will be great on you!
Another thing to note about the Makoa is the saddle-style nose bridge with rubber grips. The temples have grips too, so if you want to slip these on for a jog they'll still stay in place and be super comfortable. The frame is made of an ultra-lightweight nylon that's made durable thanks to a wire core that also lends some adjustability.
Rob also points out the comfortable and sturdy spring hinges. Oftentimes spring hinges on sunglasses will feel flimsy and cause the sunglasses to fit too loosely on your face, but that's not the case here. Maui Jim uses high quality materials in all parts of its sunglasses, and the hinges are no exception.
