There are a variety of Costa frames that would for tennis. First, I'd need to know what size sunglass do you typically wear? Also, would these need to be mainly for tennis only or as your everyday sunglasses? Once I have that information I'll send you over a few recommendations ASAP. Thanks for commenting and reaching out.
I am looking for really dark sunglasses, something that blocks light alot, i drive the whole day because of my job. So is mostly for driving and I wear regular size sunglasses.
Hey Alex! We have you covered! Sportrx offers a wide variety of frame and lens combinations to meet your individual needs. Generally speaking, something in a high wrap/curved frame design matched with a polarized grey tint with a full mirror will provide the best protection from bright and harmful sun rays. A few of my personal favorites are the Oakley Flak 2.0 XL, the Oakely Turbine, and The Wiley X Boss. Hey Dillon! They should be ok in salt water although i'd recommend washing them in freshwater as soon as your able to remove any salt deposits that could crystalize and potentially damage the frame and lens.
I'm considering getting the copper mirrored lenses but am concerned they may not block out as much/enough light as a darker color. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks
Hey Jeff! Great question. When a lens is paired with a mirror, it blocks more light from passing through the lens than without it. The copper base tint combined with the green mirror has the same vlt (visible light transmission) percentage as the grey tint with blue mirror. This means they offer the same amount of protection, but the tone and contrast you experience will be different depending on which one you choose and where you plan to use it. Grey & blue keeps colors neutral and true to tone. This combo works best in open ocean conditions. The copper & green will boost color and contrast while performing best in freshwater settings such as lakes and streams. You can't go wrong either way!
