SportRx Kicks off 2014 Golf Initiatives by Sponsoring the 13th Hole at the Waste Management Open
2014 is going to be an exciting year for SportRx and golf, with the release of our new line of golf-specific lenses that are tailored uniquely to your environment for heightened visual acuity and enhanced contrast anywhere on the course!
So to catapult our big 2014 push into the awesome realm of golf, SportRx headed to Phoenix last week to sponsor the 13th hole at the Waste Management Open – arguably the most fun tournament on the PGA Tour (and we argue YES!). A unique experience different from any other on the tour, which is one of the reasons we wanted to be there – to be a part of the mayhem and the madness that surrounds the Waste Management Open.
In addition to sponsoring the 13th hole, Oakley invited us to be their guests at the 16th hole. Now, for those who aren't familiar with the Waste Management Open, the 16th hole is THE wildest spot on the course, unlike any other in all of golf. Imagine a par 3 surrounded by stands filled with 50,000 rowdy fans heckling golfers and golfers throwing things into the stands after hitting their shots. Talk about madness. And seeing as we’re a little crazy ourselves, there is no way we could have turn downed that invite.
After a jam-packed weekend of being immersed into a crowd of unruly golf fans and hanging out with our buddies from Oakley, we survived to tell you the story on the magical interwebs.
