Oakley Wind Jacket vs. Oakley Split Jacket.
*These models have been discontinued. You can check out other prescription Oakley glasses here or Contact us for recommendations! The first thing you need to know about the Oakley Split Jacket and the Oakley Wind Jacket is that at SportRx, we love them both. Each style has a stress-resistant O Matter frame, a Switchlock interchangeable lens system, Unobtanium rubber nose pads and temple grips, and a Three-Point Fit to keep them aligned perfectly on your face. Unfortunately, Oakley has decided to no longer move forward with these styles. And when we heard the news, we ordered a TON of them, so you can still get them at SportRx.
There is a very small difference between the two styles: the wind gasket. The Split Jacket essentially would be the Wind Jacket if it had the wind gasket. So basically, the Wind Jacket is the Split Jacket with a removable orbital seal that sits on the inside of the glasses. The Wind Jacket also comes with the sport strap that clips onto the back of the temples. Otherwise, the rest of the frame and the parts are identical. In fact, if you got a wind gasket and snapped it into the Split Jacket, you would have turned it into a pair of Wind Jackets for your motorcycle rides, snow days, etc.!
