Anon M5 MFI
Size: Medium
Shape: Flat Toric
Fresh on the scene is the Anon M5 MFI—Anon’s newest model with a never-before-seen lens shape: the flat toric. A cross between a cylindrical and a toric lens, the flat toric has the same horizontal curve as the two shapes, with a vertical curve that’s right between them. This gives you a better viewing pane than the classic cylindrical, with added vent volume when compared with the regular toric lens shape. It’s a perfect spin on the retro cylindrical style that expands your field of view while keeping it low-profile. You get less distortion, a perfect amount of volume to deter fogging, and the most optically true shape to mimic that of your eyes. You can read more about the M5 in our Best Anon Goggles blog.
The M5 is equipped with the innovative tech that sets Anon apart from the rest, including Magnetic Facemask Integration (MFI) and Magna-Tech lens quick-change system. However, this year, Anon upgraded the magnetic strength on each magnet by 50%. That’s a 71% total boost in strength that requires a pull force of 8lbs to get the lens off. You can still swap lenses while wearing the goggle, but it’ll probably take both hands. Even without locks or levers, you can feel good about your Anon lenses staying put in the event of a tumble! The Anon M5 MFI has a medium fit, but is also available as a small with the Anon M5S MFI.

100% Norg
Size: Large
Shape: Cylindrical
100% has made a name for themselves in the motocross world, and they’re doing the same on the mountain with the 100% Norg. With craftsmanship and quality similar to Anon, the Norg is just as intuitive and easy to wear. Our favorite part of these snow goggles is their 3DPlane™ Molded Lens Technology, which features interchangeable lenses that “frame” the chassis instead of the other way around. This gives the goggles impressive structure, while the chassis is incredibly flexible and comfortable—so the lenses are easy to change. The Gravit8™ lens change system is fully magnetic, and you can swap lenses with the goggles on your face.
The Norg is available with a whopping 17 new HiPER™ lens tech tints that are optimized for snow and all types of light conditions. It includes a bonus low-light lens in a cloth bag that stacks right on top of the other lens to act as a protective layer for storage. These have a slightly larger fit than most goggles, but are still pretty comfortable if you wear a medium. You can check out more on 100% goggle sizing in our 100% Snow Goggle Size Guide. If you’re looking for a goggle that delivers ease and quality, the 100% Norg will not disappoint.

Oakley Line Miner L
Size: Large (formerly known as XL)
Shape: Cylindrical
There’s a reason the Oakley Line Miner L continues to make our Best Of lists year after year! Despite being one of the few that doesn’t include a free bonus lens or have a modern quick lens change system, it’s still one of the best snow goggles on the market. The Line Miner has a cylindrical lens and chassis that sit closer to the face than other models, which results in phenomenal peripheral views. This would usually cause fogging concerns, but the Line Miner’s lens height and exceptional ventilation work harmoniously to combat moisture buildup.
The Line Miner is a full-rimmed snow goggle with a traditional lens change system. It takes a little longer to switch out your lens, but the full-rim design also makes it one of the most durable goggles on our list. You’re also in for a treat with pretty much any tint you choose with Oakley's PRIZM™ lens tech, which delivers unparalleled color contrast and visibility. If you want more lens options that work for variable conditions, PRIZM gives you 7 tints to choose from. We recommend Inferno Iridium for brilliant contrast. If you want a quality, durable goggle that performs and won’t break the bank, check out the Oakley Line Miner L. And if you really wanna stand out on the mountain, check out our SportRx exclusive Line Miner L colorway.

SMITH I/O Mag
Size: Medium
Shape: Spherical
If you see a rider wearing SMITH on the mountain, there’s a good chance it’s the I/O Mag. It’s their bestselling model, and it’s not hard to see why. The I/O Mag is an all-around solid snow goggle that feels good, performs well, and delivers quintessential SMITH style. Starting with its fit, the I/O Mag is in the same league as the 100% Norg when it comes to comfort. Thanks to Responsive Fit™, the chassis is made with flexible, lightweight material that molds seamlessly to your face. You also can’t beat the size selection: it’s available in small, regular, and extra-large sizes with low bridge options.
Few brands have been in the snow game longer than SMITH, and you can tell by their premium lens tech. ChromaPop™ lenses bring out every detail on your run and instantly wake up dull, flat terrain so you can charge harder and faster. The I/O Mag is also equipped with SMITH’s 5x™ anti-fog tech, which includes superb ventilation and keeps your view clear in a range of weather and temps. The MAG lens change system makes these lenses super easy to swap out, with a combination of magnets and clips on either side to secure them in place. It isn’t as quick as a few of its counterparts and may require a bit of finessing if you’re changing lenses while wearing the goggles.

SPY Marauder Elite
Size: Large
Shape: Toric
In our opinion, SPY’s Marauder Elite is one of the most underrated snow goggles on the scene. It’s comfortable, durable, and has a unique anti-fog system that gives it optimal clarity. If you’ve used goggles long enough, you know how fragile the top venting can be. It’s often just a thin layer of foam, which is easy to accidentally puncture when you’re swapping lenses. It can also dry out and get brittle. Not so with the Marauder Elite! It’s one of the few snow goggles with armored venting that will last long after the first season of use. You also get a super secure lens lock system with SPY’s Deadbolt™ Lens Change System, which uses a combination of magnets and sliding locks to keep your lens firm and fastened.
SPY also gets scientific with their anti-fog tech. The Marauder Elite is equipped with the RISE™ Ventilation System, which creates a vacuum effect that pulls warm air up through the subframe vents. This, along with moisture-wicking Dri-Force™ fleece, works together to cancel out fogging. So even when the weather isn’t perfect, your visibility can be. The Marauder Elite has a rimless design with a toric lens and is available with SPY’s proprietary HAPPY™ lens technology and HAPPY Boost™. For a goggle that’s easy to wear, delivers quality optics, and will last you beyond the season, you’ll love SPY’s Marauder Elite.

Giro Article II
Size: Medium
Shape: Toric
Lenses by a global optics leader, EVAK vent technology, and a great price point make the Giro Article II worthy of our best men’s snow goggles list. Our humble opinion is that it's Giro’s best model for its quality and price. Most goggles with such features aren’t available for under $200, but the Article II is—plus it comes with a bonus lens.
The Article II is the only pick on our list with lenses that are made, tested, and Q&A’d by global optics leader ZEISS®. Giro’s Vivid lens tech delivers pristine clarity and definition without over saturating colors, no matter the weather conditions. And while we love the optics, our favorite feature is still Giro’s EVAK vent technology. Like SPY’s Marauder Elite, the Article II has armored venting which keeps snow out and makes the goggle much more durable than many of its counterparts. Pair that with a generous field of view and spherical lens shape, and you have a clear, carefree view that you can enjoy season after season.

ZEAL Portal XL
Size: Large
Shape: Spherical
Last and certainly not least is the Zeal Portal XL. This is a must for our men’s snow goggles list with its large, comfortable fit and wide peripherals. A great goggle for big heads, the Portal XL has a spacious, spherical lens that keeps your view ventilated and fog-free.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about these lenses! Zeal Optics hails from Maui Jim’s lab, which holds a reputation for high-definition, premium quality lenses. The Portal XL is available with three lens types, including Optimum, Optimum Polarized, and Optimum Polarized Automatic+, which is photochromic. If you’re the type who wants to pack just one lens for the mountain, you simply cannot go wrong with the photochromic lens. These start clear and darken with UV exposure, so it’s like having several lenses in one. Zeal’s snow goggle lenses deliver unparalleled depth perception with zero distortion. It’s our favorite feature on this goggle!
In case you prefer having multiple lens options on hand, the Portal XL has a Rail Lock System that uses a combination of magnets and sliding locks to secure your lens for easy, secure interchangeability. It takes a few practice attempts, but once you get it, it’s easy to swap them on the go. This also removes the worry of losing a lens on a good tumble, so you can ride with confidence. Bigger heads who want the best clarity should definitely check out the Portal XL.
