5 Tips For Bass Fishing
1) Learn how to throw a Drop Shot. A drop shot rig consists of line tied to a hook that has a trailing leader. The leader comes to the end with a weight at the bottom while the hook and bait are above it.
2) Use a Bait Casting Reel. Bait Casting reels consist of a revolving spool that sits on top of a casting rod and it has a trigger handle.
3) Check the weather and wear appropriate clothes. You will be spending long hours on the water and it's important to have the proper clothing. If it's going to rain don't forget the rain jacket and if it is sunny make sure to leave that jacket at home. Once you are out on the water there is no coming back.
4) Learn how to be patient. Some days the fish will be biting quickly and you'll be pulling in fish all day. However, there will be plenty of trips where you only catch one to two fish that day. Be patient and learn to wait for the fish.
5) Practice, Practice, and Practice. The more practice the better fishermen you will become.
