Ray-Ban Lens Tech

It’s no secret that Ray-Ban sunglasses are iconic for their style and role in pop culture. But did you know that Ray-Ban has some of the best lenses on the market? Here are some of our favorites.

Ray-Ban G-15

If you love the classic Ray-Ban look and want quality clarity, try Ray-Ban G-15 lenses. Why is it called G-15? This lens was initially created in the 1930s as a performance lens for US fighter pilots flying at high altitudes. The "G" stands for the green lens color and the "15" refers to the percentage of visible light transmission, making them a perfect choice for the sunniest days. G-15 lenses absorb 85% of visible light, cut glare, and enhance your natural vision. They remain a top choice in Ray-Ban sunglasses today. You can get G-15 lenses in prescription and with polarization.

Ray-Ban Chromance™

Chromance™ is Ray-Ban’s cutting-edge proprietary lens tech. These lenses are polarized and feature anti-reflective and water-resistant coatings. They enhance color and clarity, while removing unwanted glare, providing vivid views. To learn more about Ray-Ban prescription sunglasses with Chromance™, watch our Chromance™ Lens Technology Explained video.

Ray-Ban Transitions™

Ray-Ban Transitions lenses react to UV light and adapt to your environment. Therefore, you get the best of both worlds. If you’re a prescription wearer, consider trying Transitions lenses. You get prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses in one single frame!

Ray-Ban Polarization

Ray-Ban sunglasses with and without prescription are available with polarized lenses. Polarized lenses are ideal for environments and activities where there is a lot of glare, like boating, fishing, lounging at the beach, and driving. You can easily tell if a pair of Ray-Bans are polarized by looking at the logo on the lens. Ray-Bans that are polarized have a “P” on the lens after the logo.

Ray-Ban Prescription Eyeglasses

Your favorite Ray-Ban sunglass styles are available in optical frames. We have a wide selection of Ray-Ban prescription glasses that work for a variety of face shapes and sizes. You can also customize your Ray-Ban prescription eyeglasses with blue light blocking technology.

Ray-Ban Blue™

Ray-Ban Blue is Ray-Ban’s proprietary blue light blocking lens tech. Unlike other blue light blocking glasses, Ray-Ban Blue tech is embedded within the lens and appears clear in color. Other blue light glasses have a coating applied to the outside of the lens. Check out some of our favorite Ray-Ban glasses with blue light filtering lenses.

Use your FSA & HSA Funds on Prescription Ray-Ban Glasses

Ray-Ban prescription glasses and sunglasses qualify as an eligible expense for your FSA & HSA funds. During checkout, simply enter your FSA/HSA as a typical credit card and check the box asking if you are using an FSA/HSA. This signals our opticians to charge your account right away and avoid the risk of expiring unused funds. Still have questions on eligible expenses? Visit our blog on FSA & HSA spending for more information.
