Greetings, Excuse me, but I am just slightly confused by your statement: the Saint pair has "no ballistic rated lenses available," when the official wileyx.com site clearly states ballistic ratings for this pair, as well.
Featured quote: "Shatterproof Selenite™ Polycarbonate lenses that meet the MIL-PRF-32432(GL) ballistic standards: ANSI Z87.1-2010 high velocity and high mass impact standards: as well as US Federal OSHA 1910.133(b)(1)(1) standards."
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I was able to track down an answer for you. So, when the video was shot, Wiley X only offered certain color combos that met ballistic standards. Being a source of confusion, Wiley X went back and redesigned the thickness of all the lenses, so what you see on Wiley X's website is accurate. The Saint, Valor, and Guard all come with lenses that are ballistic rated, regardless of the color combo.
One matter to note though, is if the original lenses are replaced with prescription lenses, these new lenses will not meet ballistic standards, but will retain their ANSI rating. Hope that helps, and we'll update our blog post (and reshoot the video!) so the information is up to date.
Thanks again for commenting. Sometimes we're not apprised of these small but major changes and details like this go unnoticed. Please comment again if you spot any other discrepancies!
