Looking for protective glasses for shooting. I wear trifocals at present. It is difficult to see front sight in focus. I shoot in competition with pistol, rifle and shotgun. Looking at Rudy project radon model. Presently using my regular glasses I find myself tilting my head up to see the front sight in focus. Planning to see my optical center in month. How do I want my prescription glasses designed for the RUDY frames. Do you make the lenses? Looking for help in getting it right.
Hey Rodney! We do make prescription lenses however for competition shooters it can be somewhat tricky to pinpoint the correction and/or magnification point for distance, intermediate, and reading as it relates to the user and equipment with which they’re working. I generally recommend a bifocal over trifocal and possibly raise the segment height for the reading portion to allow for easier and quicker access rather than moving the eyes all the way down the lens with the user’s head cocked at an awkward angle to achieve clarity for what they’re trying to see. I’d also suggest possibly getting the frame first to get an idea of where you want said placements and/or segments as it relates to shooting before producing the lenses.
Hi how much would it cost to buy them with all the different insert lenses and where would I get the the prescription lenses from can I get them from my local Specsavers
Hey Stephen! The cost would depend on the type of prescription and lens material we’re making to the insert. Unless the customer wants a single vision lens as well as a progressive lens, then they need only to purchase 1 insert. The lens that sits in front of the insert is the interchangeable non Rx lens that can be swapped out to accommodate varying light conditions.
