This type of lens is specially made to combat overcast and snowy conditions. While both the HI Pink and Rose lenses will do the job, they are both distinctly different. For instance, for those of you who are looking to combat complete whiteout conditions, Oakley's PRIZM HI Pink lenses are for you. The fact of the matter is that the 41% visible light transmission (VLT) of the HI Pink lenses are more helpful with visibility. Additionally, the increased contrast of the lenses will help you scope out the terrain within severe whiteout like never before. So if you're looking for a pair of goggles that will maximize depth perception capability in pure whiteout conditions, the Oakley PRIZM HI Pink will be the best choice.

On the other hand, if you're looking for a lens with a little more flexibility, the PRIZM Rose lenses are your best bet. The 25% - 28% VLT allows for a darker picture. This means that if you're planning for a whiteout day but the sun comes out, these lenses have you covered. We found that if you wear the PRIZM HI Pink lens out on a sunny day, visibility will be limited due to its high VLT. Thus, if you're looking for a happy medium, the Oakley PRIZM Rose will be the better option between the two.
